Skill guide: Bounty training

Overview

This guide offers tips and best practices for training the Bounty skill.

Starting off

• Completing Beneath Port Kelda will get you from level 1 to 7

• The Notice Board is unlocked under the 'World' tab in your Homestead

Additional quests that can reward you with some Bounty XP:

Notice Board

Players can have 2 jobs active at any one time, but since Help jobs don't reward Bounty XP directly, we are going to ignore those for the purpose of this guide.

Bounty Tasks

Druzil assigns players to hunt down between 20-200 creatures per Easy task. After completing Never Late., you can accept Medium tasks from Beryl and should prioritize doing so for their better loot and rewards.

Bounty Rank Points

Each completed [Easy/Medium] task rewards players with [10/20] points to be spent in Druzil's shop; He sells impactful upgrades like Black gloves or Levlium Gloves you can't get anywhere else.

XP Rewards

Players earn a set amount of Bounty XP per creature they defeat, which is predetermined when tasks are generated on the Notice Board (XP/defeat is affected by multipliers).

-> XP/defeat is one of the most important factors to consider when signing contracts unless you have no concern for the efficiency of your stamina-usage. <-

Best Tasks For:

Moneymaking

• The most lucrative profit comes from selling loot to other players on the Trading Post, like Captain's Key & Frozen Key drops (or run the dungeons and sell the BIG drops), followed closely by crafting materials like Twenty-Year Fleece, Wyvern Blood, or a whole bunch of Coal Ore. All weapons & armor can be turned directly into coins with the Mynt/Grandmynt spell.

Efficient Bounty XP

• When efficiency is your goal, the essence of what Bounty task selection is all about collects here; Signing each contract is its own little puzzle to determine which metric is giving you the best trade-off. If you have extra coins, a Stamina Potion or two from the Trading Post never hurt anyone...

Fastest Reward Points

• Basically any task that rolls for 20-40 creatures is an instant take, especially when racing to Levlium Gloves is all you can think about. Just don't forget that the 'Stamina per fight' cost increases for most Medium tasks.
