Dummies Guide to Auxillary skills
A basic guide to how auxiliary skills interact with each other.
There are many ways to play Levla and some of them include combat while some are more laid back like fishing and farming!
It may seem like a simple premise but most of the auxiliary skills are intrinsically paired together to progress...
Mining ->
Blacksmithing +
Artisan
Bartering -> RS equivalent of thieving
First of all
Farming
This one is a passive activity that does not consume any stamina and can be used to funnel into
Alchemy
The first major milestone would be
Alchemy Level 1 (who would have thought?)
Where you can craft
Attack Potion with a
Vial Of Water +
Ceylon +
Beetle Thorax
Vial Of Water can be bought for 25g or farmed from
Cave Spiders (10%)
Ceylon can also be bought but from the trading post (currently 200/piece) it can be farmed from
Cave Spiders (12.5%) and it can also start gathered from
Farming at level 20
Beetle Thorax can be purchased either from
Brynna or the trading post for 50g
If you are looking to make the most out of your stamina while gathering the next one is a massive milestone. Level 8
Alchemy gives you access to
Gatherer's Brew which gives you an extra 10% gathering yield.
To craft
Gatherer's Brew we will need
Vial Of Water +
Foxglove +
Bear Claw
Vial Of Water Much like before it can be bought or farmed.
Foxglove This can be bought from the trading post (currently 32g) or farmed from
Moss Ghouls (12.5%) as well as become available for
Farming at level 25
Bear Claw This can be farmed from
Highland Bears (20%) or bought from the trading post (currently 950g)
As for the further potions I am confident you have got the point of the interaction between these skills and how they can be helpful throughout the whole game. (Don't worry about flasks for now they are a way way off)
Now we have
Mining and this one does cost stamina to carry out and in some instances you will need
Freeze Ward Potion if you want to venture into
The Deep Veins !
Mining is different from
Farming as we can use tools to speedup our process:
With each upgrade (excluding malmite to levlium) giving a 12.5% increase to gather speed.
Thinking of these as tiers we move from the lowest tier, Bronze (T1), to the highest tier Malmite (T6)
This is where
Blacksmithing comes into play
Bronze Ingot is produced with
Tin ore +
Copper ore
Iron Ingot is produced solely with
Iron Ore
Now
Coal Ore is being introduced as an ingredient we start to slow down since it requires a double grind for the primary + secondary part for the recipe!
However we now have access to one of the lowest entry bar money makers in the game.
Steel Ingot is produced with
Iron Ore + 2x
Coal Ore
Mythril Ingot is produced with
Mythril Ore + 4x
Coal Ore
Malmite Ingot is produced with
Malmite Ore + 6x
Coal Ore
For now this is all the things we can create from
Mining and
Blacksmithing as T6 Levlium is kept behind elusive drop tables and incredibly high prices on the trading post!
If we are solely looking for maximum XP and efficient stamina usage we will ALWAYS craft the item with the most XP drop, this item usually costs the most ingots like kiteshields or plate bodies
Moving onto
Fishing this one is also a stamina using task like
Mining
There a 3 types of fishing in Levla
Fly fishing
Small/Big net fishing
Lobster pots
This is as simple as it gets for this one, you catch the fish you cook the fish and then you do as you please.
The most complicated part is equipping
Feather for the fly fishing!
The
Fishing +
Cooking pipeline is fantastic if you move more towards combat as you will have a massive stockpile of food for health recovery, especially when you get to
Pike as it gives +14 HP
Woodcutting is much like
Mining in the fact that you can equip tools to increase efficiency
With each upgrade (excluding malmite to levlium) giving roughly a 12.5% increase to gather speed.
Currently we can only funnel
Logs into
Planks for future proofing ourselves for when the homestead update drops!
Lastly we have
Bartering and this is essentially pickpocketing/ thieving.
We are given various NPCs across the currently available locations.
Citizen - This is the starter choice as they are available from level 1 and give consistent
Coins as their only dropGuard - Your next step, they also drop
Coins but double the XPRansacked supply crates - A bit of a change compared to people as this one has a variety of drops ranging from
Caravan Key to
Lobster Gem Trader - We go back to people now and this is the first real good loot table with gems including
Sapphire and
Emerald up for grabsGardener + Master Farmer - At level 30 and 50 Bartering we can consider these alternatives to buying seeds from the market as these combined will drop any seed you would ever need (as long as you pray to the RNG gods above)
Thankyou for reading my guide and hope you have a good day! Keep on keeping on!
