You've just landed in Port Kelda. Welcome to the Levla world.

Whether you're here to form new habits in your daily life, become a powerful adventurer, master every skill, build up your homestead, or just see where your journey takes you, there's a lot to discover in our world.

This guide will help you get familiar with the basics and strategies without overwhelming you in addition to the tutorial you experience in the game.

By the end, you'll have a better understanding of Habits & Todos, Stamina, Restoration and Agility Skills, and some common Strategies.

Getting started:

You will start the game with a tutorial on where things are located, how to add Habits, how to gain Stamina, how to fight monsters, and what to expect in the world of Levla.

While completing this tutorial is essential, don't expect to finish it all in the first day, take your time understanding the interface as you will be navigating this often.

Take your time, explore, and don't worry about rushing. There's plenty to learn, and you'll become more familiar with everything as you play.

Setting Up Your Habits & Todos:

Habits are recurring tasks that you have or want in your daily life. They are meant for things you regularly do, such as exercising, studying, drinking water, cleaning, or any other routine you want to keep track of.

Todos are essentially your to-do list. They can be used for one-time tasks, important dates, events, or anything else that needs to be completed.

A simple way to think about the difference is:

Habits = Things you do regularly
Todos = Things you need to get done

Both play a role in your progression in Levla, so take some time to set them up in a way that works for your real life.

When creating your first Habits and Todos, start with things you already do or genuinely need to accomplish. Look through the suggestions offered by Levla for examples of different types of tasks you can add and the different formats you can use.

Tip: Start small. A few Habits and Todos that you can consistently complete are more useful than a long list that becomes overwhelming. Don't create tasks just to gain Stamina. The goal is to use Levla to help you manage your real-life routines and responsibilities, with your in-game progress coming naturally from completing them.

Understanding Stamina

Stamina is one of the main resources you will use to progress your character in Levla. You gain Stamina by completing your Habits and Todos, which you can then spend on Adventures or Crafting.

Adventures allow you to spend time working on different activities to earn Skill XP or collect resources which you can then use stamina to craft different types of items.

There are two ways to complete an Adventure:

AFK Adventures allow you to commit to an activity for a longer period of time, ranging from 1 to 12 hours. For example, you could start a Mining Adventure and spend time mining to earn Mining XP and collect resources such as Coal or Iron.

Focused Adventures allow you to work on an activity in shorter increments of 15 minutes, up to 2 hours. For example, you could spend 30 minutes Fishing to earn Fishing XP and collect resources such as Shrimp.

Stamina can also be used to fight monsters. Combat rewards you with Combat XP and monster loot, which can be used to craft different items such as Potions, Amulets, Weapons, Armor, and other items.

As you play, you'll have to decide how you want to spend your Stamina. You can focus on leveling your Skills, gathering resources, fighting monsters, or a combination of all three.

Tip: Don't worry about finding the "perfect" way to spend your Stamina when you're just starting out. Your first week is about learning what the different activities do and figuring out what you enjoy.

Important skills:

Two skills that are especially important to understand early on are Restoration and Agility. Both directly affect how much you can do in Levla and can become increasingly useful as you progress.

Restoration:

Improves your natural recovery. Higher levels mean faster HP regeneration between turns in dungeons and more Stamina from Habits & Todos.

Stamina is what keeps you going. Completing tasks, reflecting, and other activities can reward Stamina, and your Restoration level increases how much you receive. The higher your Restoration level, the more Stamina you earn from these activities.

Agility:

Increases your maximum Stamina capacity. You start with a maximum of 100 Stamina, and this can grow all the way to 300 at level 99.

More maximum Stamina means you can complete more Adventures before reaching your limit, giving you more opportunities to earn XP and collect rewards without having to wait for more Stamina.

Agility also has benefits during combat. Higher Agility increases your critical hit chance, giving each attack a chance to deal bonus damage.

Agility also increases the rate at which you encounter random events, giving you more opportunities to experience them.

How to Level Them:

There are a couple of ways to gain experience in these skills. You can start a Training Adventure specifically for Restoration or Agility, or you can set up your Habits and Todos to award experience toward these skills when you complete them.

Common strategies for playing Levla:

One of the best parts of Levla is that there isn't one specific way you have to play. Your goals can change over time, and you can build your character around whatever you find most enjoyable.

You might choose to spread your time between all of your skills and keep them relatively balanced. Or, you could focus heavily on one skill and work toward reaching level 99.

You could also set goals that aren't based around skills at all. Maybe you want to become a collector and gather as much of a particular item as possible, build up a large amount of Gold, collect rare items, or simply work toward completing everything you can.

Your playstyle is ultimately up to you. Don't feel like you have to follow someone else's progression or worry about playing "correctly." Levla gives you the freedom to decide what you want to accomplish.

Some Examples:

Balanced: Level several skills together and keep your character well-rounded. This is a common way to enjoy different aspects of Levla without focusing too heavily on one particular skill.

Specialist: Focus heavily on one skill and work toward maxing it. Become a master of Fishing or Mining while paying less attention to the other skills.

Collector: Focus on obtaining one specific, rare, or interesting item. There are already players who have started collecting specific items, such as Kebabs or Beers.

Merchant: Focus on earning and accumulating Gold. You might collect Keys, Herbs, Potions, Seeds, Ores, or other items and sell them on the Trading Post instead of using them yourself, allowing other players to buy them from you and making all that gold.

These are just examples. You can mix and match different goals, change your mind, or create goals of your own as you discover more of the world.

Final Note:

I hope this short guide helped you get a better understanding of some of the aspects of Levla that are useful to know, and gave you an idea of where you want to start. These are a few things that I wish I could understand better when I first started.

There's a lot to discover, many things I haven't covered, so take your time, form new habits, try things out, and most importantly, have fun.

See you around Levla!
