It's me again, back with another patch.
I promised myself that I would take a little break after that mega patch, but I couldn't help myself with all the bug reports coming in, and most importantly the fact that the new player experience was completely broken, so here I am, once again..
Anyway, for those of you who've been around here for a while, we have a pattern of Big Patches being followed up by a smaller patch to clean up any remaining junk that wasn't found during testing, which is exactly what this patch is.
So let's jump into it so we can all get back on the grind!
๐ค Thank You Everyone
Before that though, I'd just like to thank everyone for the amazing response to yesterday's patch. The feedback was crazy and I'm super stoked to hear that it landed well. A lot of passion and love went into that patch, so I'm very happy right now!
But we still have a long way to go. There are many things that need to improve and be fixed, but yesterday's patch was a big step in the right direction.
Thank you again! ๐ค
๐ฎ What's Next for Levla?
Now that we've had a big productivity update and a huge QOL & UX update in the last two major patches, it's time to move focus back to the content side of Levla.
I've had a new region planned for quite some time and I even started working on it before the playtest, and it is now my primary goal to finish it and introduce some new content.
Content patches take longer to make, as there are a lot of moving parts, and I like to take my time to make sure it progresses nicely.
Of course, bugs will still be fixed and there will for sure be some QOL squeezed in as well, but my main focus for the coming week will be on content. A new region is definitely coming, along with some new quests, but there are also other things in progress:
- Clue Scroll System
- QOL Through Magic & Quests
- Magic Training
- More pets
- More backgrounds & character expressions
I'm also taking a look at our current widgets and how we can improve them for an upcoming productivity update.
Hope you're as excited for all this as I am. Now let's get into the update!
โ Bob
To help users get a better understanding of some aspects of Levla, Bob The Wise pops up at some points to explain a concept or feature, this is only displayed the first time something is discovered.
Just thought I'd let you know, and you can ofcourse disable it by pressing "Disable Tips"!
โจ QOL
๐ Productivity Specific
- You can now toggle whether a specific todo/habit should recur based on the completion date. For example, if you have a todo to get a haircut every 4 weeks and you do it 2 weeks late, instead of it being scheduled in 2 weeks it would be in 4. Available for both habits and todos as a new setting
