LifeUp for iPhone: the best LifeUp alternatives on iOS
LifeUp isn't available on iPhone; it's Android-only. The closest alternative is ulives, the LifeUp team's own successor, which runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac and can import a LifeUp backup, although your LifeUp purchase doesn't carry over. If you'd rather have a finished game than build your own, Levla turns your habits and to-dos into an idle RPG. Skillion and Dual are the best picks if you loved defining your own skills and reward shop, and Habitica is the classic RPG option.
Levla is our app. We've tried to describe every app here fairly, including where Levla isn't the best fit.

Is LifeUp on iPhone?
No. LifeUp is only available on Android, where it's a $4.99 purchase on Google Play. Its developers say a direct iOS port isn't realistic, and point iPhone users to ulives, an app they rebuilt from scratch as LifeUp's successor. Other apps on the App Store with "LifeUp" in their name are made by unrelated developers.
What LifeUp fans usually look for
- Skills or attributes you define, each with its own XP and levels
- A reward shop you stock with real-life treats
- Loot boxes, crafting and achievements
- A one-time price rather than a subscription
1. LevlaOur app
Best for: A finished RPG instead of a system you build
- Platforms
- iPhone and Android, plus a web app for habits and to-dos
- Price
- Free; membership $5.99 a month, $49.99 a year or $99.99 lifetime
Levla takes the opposite approach to LifeUp. Instead of designing your own game, you get a finished one: completing habits, to-dos and daily reflections earns Stamina, XP and Coins, and your character spends them on idle adventures, leveling 18 skills, fighting monsters, farming, crafting and trading with other players. Link a habit to a skill and your routine trains that skill. Patch 22 adds custom real-life rewards as part of a new, optional Stakes system.

Strengths
- A full game world, with loot, gear, crafting and a player economy
- A full habit and to-do tracker
- Free, with unlimited habits and to-dos and no ads
Trade-offs
- Skills are part of the game, so you can't invent your own
- Custom real-life rewards don't arrive until Patch 22
- Members-only regions and quests need a membership
2. ulives
Best for: The closest thing to LifeUp on iPhone
- Platforms
- iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android
- Price
- Free; Premium $9.99 one-time (early-bird price)
ulives is made by the LifeUp team as its successor, rebuilt from scratch for iPhone, iPad and Mac. You define your own attributes, currencies, shop rewards, loot boxes, crafting recipes and achievements, and tasks, habits and focus sessions earn XP and currency. Since June 2026 it can import a LifeUp backup, although your LifeUp purchase doesn't transfer and some data is converted on the way.
Strengths
- Almost everything LifeUp fans love, on iPhone
- Imports a LifeUp backup
- One-time Premium, with no ads
Trade-offs
- No live sync between devices yet
- Less automation than LifeUp
- The early-bird price may rise
3. Skillion
Best for: Skills you define, with a reward shop
- Platforms
- iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android
- Price
- Free for 3 skills; Premium $6.99 a month, $39.99 a year or $59.99 lifetime
Skillion splits each task's XP across skills you create, like coding or charisma, and pays coins you spend in a shop that includes rewards you define yourself. Days are planned with time blocks and a daily energy budget, and your account syncs across devices.
Strengths
- User-defined skills with their own levels
- Custom rewards in the shop
- A lifetime option
Trade-offs
- The free plan is limited to 3 skills
- AI features and themes need Premium
4. Dual
Best for: A self-designed RPG for goals and focus time
- Platforms
- iPhone and Mac
- Price
- $6.99 a month or $24.99 a year
Dual lets you define your own attributes and skills, break long-term goals into milestones and recurring quests, and level skills with time on its focus timer. Coins and gems buy rewards from a shop you fill yourself.
Strengths
- Custom attributes, skills and reward shop
- Milestones for long-term goals
Trade-offs
- Subscription only, with no lifetime option
- iPhone and Mac only
- Takes some setup
5. Habitica
Best for: A classic RPG with custom rewards
- Platforms
- Web, iPhone, Android and Wear OS
- Price
- Free; optional subscription $4.99 a month or $47.99 a year
Habitica's Rewards column lets you add your own real-life treats and price them in gold, much like LifeUp's shop, alongside an RPG character with classes, pets and party quests. Missed Dailies cost health.
Strengths
- Free, including custom rewards
- Available on the web, iPhone and Android
Trade-offs
- Less customizable than LifeUp
- Penalties for missed Dailies
6. Habicat
Best for: Pixel-art check-ins with chests and bosses
- Platforms
- iPhone and Android
- Price
- Free for up to 6 habits; $2.99 a month, $14.99 a year or $28.99 lifetime
Habicat rewards habit check-ins with EXP and currency for chests of gear and outfits, with a monthly boss challenge and detailed stats. Like LifeUp, it offers a lifetime purchase instead of forcing a subscription.
Strengths
- A lifetime purchase is available
- Chests, bosses and detailed stats
Trade-offs
- Built around habits rather than to-dos
- Rewards are in-game items rather than your own

ulives is the closest, because it's made by the LifeUp team. If you'd rather have a finished game than a system you build yourself, Levla turns your habits and to-dos into an idle RPG. Skillion and Dual are good if you want to define your own skills and rewards.
